Data we collect
Account: email address (or the private relay address provided by Apple), first and last name, account type (adopter or breeder).
Profile (optional unless stated): title, date of birth, address, city, country, phone number, whether you already own cats, profile photo.
Breeders: cattery name and description, breeds, cover and profile photos, breeder identification number, affiliated organisation and the supporting documents you upload for verification.
Content you publish: cat listings (photos, prices, descriptions), mating listings, cat-sitting profile, reviews.
Messages you exchange with other members, favourites, saved searches, questionnaire answers used for matching, reports and blocks.
Technical data needed to run the service (session tokens). We do not use advertising trackers.
Why we use it
To create and secure your account, show listings and profiles, let members contact each other, verify breeders, moderate abuse and improve suggestions. Legal bases: contract, legitimate interest (security, moderation) and, where required, consent.
What is public
Public: breeder and cat-sitter profiles, listings, reviews (with your first name and initial only), the "Verified breeder" badge. Never public: your email, phone, address, date of birth, messages, verification documents and questionnaire answers. Verification documents are stored in a private space readable only by you and authorised administrators.
Photos
Photos are resized and re-encoded before upload, which removes embedded metadata such as GPS location.
Who processes it
Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Cloudflare (website delivery), Apple (Sign in with Apple, app distribution). [HOSTING REGION — to be completed].
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in Profile → Delete my account: your profile, listings, messages, favourites and every file you uploaded (including verification documents) are erased. Reports about other members may be retained for moderation.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export and delete your data, and object to some processing. Write to [SUPPORT EMAIL — to be completed]. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
